If I start all over… I will start with making money from Emails

If I started From Scratch In 2021…

Here’s a question I get a lot: “If you had to start all over again, what skill would you learn?”

Most times it’s from newbies looking to find their feet in the online world. Other times it’s from slightly more experienced Solopreneurs hoping to pivot from businesses they’re stuck in.

Whichever your situation, I hope you find my insights valuable.. But before I dive Into my absolute favorite way to get started, an important caveat:

There’s no one way that’ll guarantee you success. Even a billionaire couldn’t guarantee you wealth.

I know, that’s probably not what you want to hear. But I’m no bullshitter. And everything you get from is the unfiltered truth. And what I promise is the path of least resistance.

Now with that out of the way… what’s my no. 1 way to make money?

Simple. It’s none other than Email Marketing.

And here’s why…

What Is Email Marketing?

Let’s set the scene with what email marketing embodies.

Emails have been around for a while, and for good reason. It’s the number 1 communication channel for businesses. Plus, it’s a great way to build trust with the people you serve.

If you’re looking for a skill that’ll cement you on the path to success, this is it. Every business sends email, and you raise your value once you’ve got it as a skill in your pocket.

As a form of online marketing, businesses lean to it when they’re looking to keep in touch with customers.

Why It’s Beneficial To You.

First off, any skill in business is valuable. But email marketing brings a gun to knife fight in terms of value.

For you, there’s an enormous upside. And you can apply most of what you’ll learn into various areas of your life.

Here are a few of my top reasons why it’s a great start for aspiring solopreneurs.

It Trains You To Think Like An Entrepreneur.

Since the goal of every email is to build a relationship or create a transaction with your customer, you need to put some thought into it.

Part of being an entrepreneur is learning how to serve. And a huge part of serving is knowing what people want.

Email marketing forces you to be strategic like an entrepreneur. To be thoughtful, and allow your mind to come up with ways to better serve people.

Because each email is crucial, your brain gets creative. Thinking of fresh ways or ideas to make projects successful.

This is valuable especially when it comes to problem solving. You can transfer this skill into other areas of your life. By allowing yourself to come up with ways to make things better.

It Pays Pretty Well

Money might not be everything in life. But let’s face it, no matter how much we say that, our bills don’t magically disappear.

Which means we’ve got to come up with ways to take care of them. A great way is through online skills – specifically email marketing.

As an email marketer, the average industry salary is between $60,000 – $120,000 per year(according to Glassdoor)

That’s a good amount of cash to take care of your bills, lifestyle, and any other commitments.

You can support your family, send your kids to school or take your friends out for lunch.

It Builds Your Communication Skills

As an email marketer, you’re in charge of sending countless emails in a year.

Who are you sending these emails too? Real people of course. This requires you to brush up on your communication skills so people enjoy receiving your emails.

The beauty of writing (especially every day) is that it improves your thinking which translates to clearer communication.

Once you dive in, you’ll notice you find it easier to communicate your ideas or thoughts. And we both know how good it feels once our message gets heard.

Also, while sending out emails, expect feedback. This is another huge place that improves your communication skills.

Why? Because your responses follow customers’ feedback. And they’ve got to maintain that human to human connection.

You’ll learn how to respond to compliments, how to respond to unsatisfied people, and even angry ones.

All vital skills you can transfer to your in life interactions.

It’s Easy To Get Started.

The barrier to entry is pretty low for email marketing. You don’t need a degree or special connections to start learning ropes.

All you need is a book and pen, an internet connection, and an insane drive to succeed.

There are lots of free materials readily available online to get you started on your journey

Wrapping Things Up

Hey, so that’s it. I hope I’ve made a good case of email marketing.

Before I wrote this, I wasn’t sure I was in the right position. But after spending about three years in the industry, I figured I’d have a few things to share with you.

If you do decide to take email marketing seriously, let me know.

Love to hear from you. And I wish you the best
